How does manifestation really work?
Is it possible to manifest anything at all?
Manifestation is the idea that thoughts become things. It is the act of bringing something from the realm of thought or imagination into the real world. The word itself comes from Latin meaning ‘to bring forth’. The concept has been around since ancient times, but modern science has only recently begun to explore its potential.
In recent years, scientists have discovered that our brains create neural pathways that link us to external reality. This means that we can influence our experience of our environment through our minds & energy alone.
Once you learn how manifestation really works then yes it becomes possible to manifesting absolutely anything!
Let's back up. What is manifestation, exactly?
Essentially, manifestation is bringing something tangibly into your life through attraction, i.e. what you believe about yourself, others, money, etc., becomes a physical reality. If you think it, it shall come.
However, there is more to manifesting than just willpower and positive thinking. There are many factors involved in how we attract our desires. There is an art and science to how manifestation really works.
For example, if you desire abundance, you must first understand that abundance is a state of mind. You cannot make things happen unless you are willing to receive them.
There are four main components to manifestation:
1. Alignment – This is where you identify what you want and connect with the frequency of it.
2. Belief – Your beliefs determine whether or not you will attract what you want.
3. Action – Once you’ve attracted what you want, you must take action towards getting it.
4. Staying the course – this is knowing that if things haven’t worked out quite the way you imagined they would then that is for good reason.

As Angelina Lombardo, the author, says, “Manifesting is making everything you want to feel and experience a reality…via your thoughts”
How can I start Manifesting?
Sometimes it’s hard to look forward, especially when we’re always working, paying bills, taking care of family, and thinking about what we’d like to do next. Planning for the future, and being excited about it, is great for our mental health. And when the world feels unpredictable, it’s important to come back to our own internal state of being and manage how we think, how we feel and what we choose to focus on.
That is truly a powerful key in how manifestation really works.
The powerful part to manifesting is that it is simply the art of consciously connecting with things that are already being created (unconsciously) and recognising that you can deliberately co create with the universe.
Setting Powerful Intentions
Intention is the key to creating anything new in your life. When you set an intention, you are choosing to focus on creating a specific thing. For example, let’s say you want to lose weight. Instead of focusing on all the reasons why you don’t want to lose weight, such as ‘I am too old to change my lifestyle’, you could instead choose to focus on the benefits of losing weight. For example, ‘Losing weight will help me be healthier and live longer’. By doing so, you are giving the Universe permission to work with you to achieve your goal. More so you are being very deliberate about what it is you want to create and why. The more connected you can become to your creation the more powerful the intention behind it is.
Creating a Vision Board
A vision board is a collection of pictures and words that represent what you want out of life. You hang it somewhere where you’ll see it every day. This helps you remember why you are doing what you do. You can create a simple vision board from a poster and magazine cut outs (or printed digital screen shots) which you can hang on your wall. Or you can create a digital vision board which you can save as the background/screen saver on your mobile phone or on your computer. Creating a vision board is just one very small part of manifesting. Think of it as a reminder for you to connect into the frequency of what it is you are creating.
Follow Inspiration & Inspired Action
Now remember, it's about consciously co creating. So when you are actively manifesting to loose weight, and you receive inspired intuition to read a certain book or go to a certain place, follow that guidance even if it doesn't make sense at the time. That particular book might include some important information for you on your own specific needs to achieve your weight loss. Similarly you may go to this particular place and meet someone who can connect you with someone else and guide you with things to further achieve your goals.
Building Powerful Habits
A crucial reason people don't reach their goals or have their manifestations come to fruition is because they don't build powerful habits. Remember, manifesting is about co creating with the universe. That means you, in this 3D world, must do your bit as well. Habits are what get us there. To use the earlier example of weight loss, if we just dreamed about loosing weight but we didn't get up and exercise or modify our diet in any way then it's unlikely you would achieve that goal. Use your inspiration to guide you on the best kind of movement/foods for you. Then create actionable steps to actually do the things you need to do reach your goals. If you're having trouble with sticking to your habits, my recommendation is to build one habit at a time. When you master that then add a new habit in to your routine. It is however crucial not to skip this step. Build your habits, take your action, listen to your guidance. This is how manifestation really works.
Identify & Let go of any Resistance & Limiting Beliefs
In the book, "The Power Of Now," author Eckhart Tolle encourages readers to change their minds and embrace life fully. He says we must learn how to live in the present moment, rather than being stuck in our thoughts about the future or the past. We must stop thinking about things we cannot control, he writes. Instead, we must focus on what we can control. One of the most powerful things you can control is your own internal state of being. This is your thoughts, and your emotions. Your own internal state has a lot to do with whether things manifest for you or not. For example if you are manifesting weight loss, and every spare minute of the day you are thinking about sweets and cakes and chocolate that is out of integrity with your manifestation. The frequency of those desires is also conflicting with what you are manifesting. To think about it from another perspective, if you are manifesting a new position at work, but you have resistance towards it because you don't believe you deserve it or are qualified/good enough to complete the job then that again creates a block and resistance towards bringing forth this new position.
Utilising Affirmations & your Word
Your thought word and your spoken word are very important. They carry a frequency to them. This is why managing your thoughts is so important to successfully manifestation. If you are constantly thinking negative thoughts about yourself, your body, your circumstances etc. then you will be sending out these frequencies to the Universe. It is like you are saying to the Universe: I am not worthy. I'm not good enough. I don't deserve this. I'll never succeed. You want to send out positive frequencies, ones that say: Yes! I AM worthy. I AM good enough. I DO deserve this And most importantly believe them! When you use affirmations I recommend settling your body down into a quiet state so that you are relaxed then repeat your affirmation over and over again until you feel your self embody it. It helps if you can also say it out loud. This will help rewire and recondition you towards new belief systems that are aligned with what you are manifesting.
Tune into and adjust your energy when you need to.
Do you wake up in the mornings dreading the day ahead of you? Are you constantly telling yourself that you are tired or sore or in pain? We’ve already discussed the power of your words, but the power of the energy behind it is equally as important to consider.
Remember when you are always creating. Always. And when you don’t feel good you are miscreating.
So catch yourself in the moments when you feel down and sad and decide whether you need to remain in that state. There are absolutely periods of time where we must process our emotions and give justice to how we feel. There is however a difference to feeling your feelings and staying with them, holding onto them and not letting them go.
Likewise if you get cut off by some crazy driver, does that one moment need to define your whole day?
Would it serve you to stay angry and upset and take it out on everyone else because you had a very small bad experience?
Be firm but flexible and trust the proccess.
To truly master how manifestation really works, its important to put all these pieces together and remember these two things:
1. Life reflects us, it doesn’t test us.
2. Everything happens for us, not to us.
When you can truly embody these two things, it will allow you to stay the course of your manifestation. As we are co creating, it stands to reason that there will be outside forces and influences that can affect things. So be firm with the essence of what you are creating. Be flexible in that manifesting perhaps in a different (but better) way than you imagined. BE flexible in the timeline. And trust the twist & turns that show up on the way as opportunities for you to grow, to shine light on the parts of you that need more work more healing. Trust that because everything is happening for you, that there is a force beyond you that is working in your favour.
