We speak our life into existence.
It's important to remember that the words we use have a frequency to them.
They can bring things to us or inadvertently repel things away.
The language we use in our business is specifically designed to persuade and influence clients to do business with us, it's to lead them down a specific path to a desired outcome.
Yet we so often use our words to distract us from our own goals.
When you can set a powerful intention, and harmonise it with aligned action AND powerful words and thoughts, you'll see that then everything comes together!
I'd love to stay connected!

Welcome to the Mastery Method Podcast. My name is Anna and I’m excited to be back here with you for another episode. This topic that I’ve got planned for today is really, really powerful, and I’ve been wanting to talk about it for a little while. And as we’re, you know, kind of in the second half of the first month of the year, but as we’re getting into the new year, I really want to deliver it today.
And talk about the language that we use. The language of abundance, the language of success, the language that we use to speak to ourselves, the language that we use when we’re communicating with our clients, and also the frequency and the energy that comes with the words that we use. One of my mentors, a really powerful mentor for me, has repeatedly said that we speak our life into existence, and to therefore choose our words and our thoughts very carefully.
It’s all too easy to get caught up in the daily grind and the habitual thoughts and the autopilot where oftentimes we won’t even recognize the words that we’re using and how limiting they can potentially be when it comes to attracting things to us. Okay. So on that note, when it comes to attracting things to our lives, um, on an energetic level, it’s very much about the frequency and the magnetism of what we’re putting out there that will pull things back towards us.
Okay. Just like where our attention is. Energy goes, you know, we’ve all heard the saying, like, you know, where your attention goes, energy flows, and to not keep your focus and attention on the things that you don’t want, because you’ll fundamentally be creating more of those things. And so when we start directing our attention and our thoughts and our actions towards what it is that we are trying to create.
One of the nuances that really helps in achieving success in that is the language and the words that we choose. So in the physical 3D world, And absolutely in marketing and business, the words we choose, the copy we use, it needs to be persuasive and attractive to essentially influence clients to buy from us and do business with us.
Okay. It is very much our role as solopreneurs, as small business owners, to really master the art of good copy, of good language and persuasion. They really are foundational pieces in marketing. And what I want you to consider is why then do we aim to master the skills in business, but we don’t offer that same courtesy, that same level of persuasion of good language and influence on ourselves.
If you are trying to achieve things like Weight loss is just a really classic example of, you know, what kicks off for people in the new year. But your language is constantly like, I’ll never achieve that. I’ll never get there. I’ll never be that thin again. Okay, but if you’ve set off a new habit and you are going out and you’re exercising and you are going out and making changes to your diet that are in supportive of where you’re trying to go, surely also the thoughts and the words that we’re using Will ideally be supportive of and lead us along the journey of achieving these goals.
How often do you get caught up in saying things like, I’m too tired. I’m so busy, I can’t do this. I don’t want to, I really want that chocolate or the biscuit. I can’t afford this. I’ll never be able to afford that. I’ll never fit into this like I just mentioned. As I’m saying this, are you able to identify that perhaps some of these things do ring true for you?
And if not in the moment, then certainly at some point they absolutely have. We’ve all been there. But consider how limiting that choice of language is to your personal growth. And on an energetic level, on that level of frequency, would you say that the energy of those words is attractive, is abundant, is expansive, or is it narrowing, is it constrictive, is it repellent?
Okay. When you start paying attention to your words, to the language that you use, you’ll find that you’ll become aware very quickly of whether the language you are using opens you up, expands you, and thus keeps the flow of energy moving or closes you down and becomes repellent. So, for example, I’m too tired.
I’m too tired. closes your energy down. It pulls you down. It closes you in. And the reality is, if you are tired, you should rest so that your energy does improve, so that your battery does get recharged. But instead of shutting things down because you are too tired, and instead of using those words, In that manner, now that we’ve identified the energetic consequences that correspond with that, how can you rephrase your language and your attention so that you remain in an expansive energy, in an energy that is flowing?
Okay, if it’s really just you getting up in the morning and you’re too tired to do your exercise that day, can you say to yourself, I acknowledge right now that my energy could be better. So I’m going to prioritize. Boosting my energy this morning so that I am full of energy and so that tomorrow I can do my exercise.
Okay, something along those lines. Acknowledges where we are at in the moment, which is important because you don’t want to lie to yourself. You don’t want to deceive yourself. Okay. It’s acknowledge where you’re at. Acknowledge that I have these goals. I need to achieve them. It’s okay to take a rest when you need to.
And your energy and your attention is on elevating and expanding. So when you are prioritizing your rest, your attention immediately and your whole energy goes towards driving you to feel better versus you being focused on how tired you are, because you’re going to perpetuate that cycle more. Thank you.
Okay. Now, when you say, I’m too busy, you’ll no doubt understand exactly what that feels like. It comes with a rushed energy, with overwhelm, a burden, some kind of chaos, and a fight or flight type of response. And straight away, I’m sure you’re like, Oh yeah, okay. We’re definitely in the repellent category because we’re blocking.
When you’re so busy and so overwhelmed, the thought of taking on more is probably just gonna be like the camel that broke the camel’s back. You know, sorry, the straw that broke the camel’s back, like it just becomes too much. You don’t have the space with where you’re at at the moment to allow anything more in.
So for this example, I’m actually going to suggest that it’s not just about changing your language. It’s about changing your state. Your whole energetic state needs to shift out of. The, um, out of that burden, out of that chaos, out of that overwhelm, and I’m laughing because what I need to say is you’ve just got to stop for a minute.
Like you’ve got to like literally press pause and I know, and this is why I’m laughing because like, we’ve all been there. I’m sure you have your own examples when you have so much to do and you’re so So busy and somebody comes to you and says, just take a five minute break. You’re like, what I’m like, I don’t have time for a break.
I’ve got all these things to do, but when you can press pause, when you can take that break, when you can go for a walk and calm your energy down and step out of the burden and step out of the fatigue and out of the chaos. You immediately put yourself into a much more receptive state. And with that comes.
Expansion and allowing things in
from there, you have a clarity of thought because you’ve got space, a space in your brain. And so you can then take a moment to go, right, how can I organize this better? How can I make these tasks easier for me to get through? Where can I ask for help and receive support? If you haven’t tuned into last week’s podcast, then I highly recommend that you do, because it is all about the energy of giving and receiving.
And in these moments of being too busy is a perfect example of where accepting some Is all about the energy of abundance. Okay. Now, when it comes to the language that you use, very similarly to the example of to, I’m too tired, we’re going to be prioritizing our attention and our energy in the direction that we want to go in.
We don’t want to focus on where we are sitting. stuck. And so with the busy schedule, something along the lines of right now, I’m prioritizing X, Y, and Z. And as soon as I’m complete with this, I’ll then take on A, B, and C, or I would love your help with X, Y, and Z so that we can also achieve A, B, and C.
Straight away, you’re seeing that the energy is flowing to the accomplishment, to things being achieved, to things getting done, and you’re not doing them from that chaotic space of energy. It’s really about having a good flow without there being barriers in your way. Okay, so the language and your state and your frequency and your attention, every single thing is connected.
Now, when you have a thought of, I can’t do this. Which will often experience in moments where things are hard. This is one that I honestly actually really love. And I refuse to bring it into my awareness. And that’s the element that I love it. I don’t love the fact that I feel I can’t do anything because I actually, I feel completely unstoppable in every single way, except for when it comes to opening a jar.
Then I graciously accept help and somebody can do that for me, but if push comes to shove and I need to open the jar and nobody’s around, I’ll figure it out. Okay. So with the thought process of, I can’t do this. I want you to consider where are you limiting yourself? So not just your physical strength, but your own mental strength and determination.
Can you really not do something or do you not want to? Because it’s okay if you don’t want to. That doesn’t have to be a limitation there. It doesn’t have to be something that stops your flow then. It’s just not aligned with you and you don’t want to do it and that’s okay. But when it comes to your strength, mental or physical, you could have an approach like, Right now, I’m mastering my strength at this level and I’m working towards the next one.
So that works really well when you’re at the gym, for example, and somebody is like, yeah, come and do a hundred kilo deadlift and you’re like, mate, I’m on 20. It’s like, I ain’t ever going to get to a hundred. Well, you will, if you want to. And if you keep applying yourself and building your strength to get there, but right now where you’re at is the 20 kilo deadlift hypothetically, and your attention is, but I’d like to get there.
So I’m going to take the steps to do that. Okay. You haven’t said that you can’t, you haven’t said that you won’t. You haven’t stopped the possibility reaching you. It’s just you’re progressing to get there. And that’s okay. I want you to give yourself permission that it’s okay to progress. And this is really pertinent when it comes to business because business can be and often is entirely overwhelming, especially when you are a solopreneur and a small business.
And when you’ve gone into business to do what you love, learning the business side, the marketing, the finance, like, All of it that comes in that banner, if that doesn’t come natural, excuse me, naturally to you, of course, it’s going to be overwhelming. Facebook ads are overwhelming. The platform is difficult to use.
Google ads, the backend is overwhelming. Mastering all the tech can be overwhelming. It becomes really easy to fall into the category of. I can’t do this. I’ll never figure this out. It’s like, this is so hard, but look at Instantly, what I’ve said, and you’ve shut it down, you stopped the possibility of being able to get there.
And like Facebook ads, and you know, the Google ad platform as examples are hard to learn. Is it impossible? No. If it’s something you wish to master, then can you learn one aspect of it at a time? Thank you. Can you, like, just work through setting up business manager? The more you do it, the more competent you will become, the more confident you will be.
And this, I can’t do this, does no longer need to exist in your frame of reality. Because anything is possible for you when you choose and allow it to be. All right. Now, I really want to turn the course of this podcast into and down the path of affordability because just like I can’t do this, affordability is a really, really powerful limiting belief.
Okay, and when you are saying, I can’t afford this, I can’t afford to go there, I can’t afford to buy this, I can’t afford to invest in my business, I can’t afford to go on this holiday, like whatever, it is very easy for you to become overwhelmed very quickly if you allow it to. And with that, you may often find, because money is just one of those Things that it becomes such a big burden to bear on your shoulders.
When you can shift your energetic state and choice of language around abundance and around affordability, you will see that things will slowly start to change. in your favor. So let’s break it down a little bit. If you can’t afford something right now, notice right now, I’ve even started shifting it before we’ve even dived into it, but if you can’t afford something, Instead of shutting it down and preventing it from being any kind of possibility on your radar, could you perhaps approach the situation by acknowledging that right now it isn’t part of your financial plan, but that it could be if you wanted something bad enough.
So if somebody asks you, hey, do you want to? I’m on a holiday with me and you can’t afford it, but you really want to go. It’s like, okay, right now it’s not part of my financial plan because I’ve got a couple of other things that I, that I would like to prioritize that I’m working towards, but I love the idea of going with you on a holiday.
I might not be able to go right now when you would like to, because I am prioritizing these other things. But let’s absolutely discuss it. And I would love to join up with you another time when it does work within my plan. Okay, see how instantly we’ve gone to a space of possibility. Like I could get there one day.
Okay. Now, when it comes to something being too expensive, instead of it being too expensive, like let’s change the language there, could you perhaps use language like it’s not in alignment with my current financial goals or my current financial plan? All right, your priority Is to ensure that you prioritize and direct your energy towards the growth that you are trying to create.
And if that simply means earning more money, part of the process is ensuring you’re not overspending because then it doesn’t matter how much you earn. If you’re spending too much, you’re always going to be short, right? So you do need to tip that balance into attracting more. So rather than something being too expensive, it’s like, that’s not in alignment with my financial goals right now.
And similarly to the language that we’ve just used a moment ago, how can you direct your energy to where you want it to go instead of keeping your attention on where you don’t? If it’s not in alignment with your financial goals, Either it can be one time because you want something bad enough, and then you’re putting it forward as I’m going to attract this in, or it’s like, okay, that’s just ego based and, and I’m okay without that because this is where my attention is.
This is my priority. This is what makes my heart set on fire. Okay. So in business. When it comes to our clients, it’s very important that the language that we use leads them to where we want them to go. Okay, so use your language, use your copy to ideally set up a direct path to your door. Lead them to the next step, and then the next step, and then the next step.
Okay, this is the power of influence. This is the power of possibility, of leading people into that flow of energy of attention where you want people to go and when you can start using your language to persuade and influence yourself, it’s going to be so much easier for you to communicate to In the same way with your clients and with your audience to get them to where you want them to go and for you to achieve the goals that you’re setting out to.
Okay. All of this requires discipline. It’s the discipline to be aware of the thoughts and the language and the energy at that time. It’s the discipline to catch it in the moment and to change those patterns. It’s just practice. You’re breaking like deeply set habits. If you haven’t already, I would encourage you to take a very top level view of your goals and desires and make sure that you keep it front and center so that it is front of mind.
That way, you’re not going to succumb to temptation. If you can keep your attention on where you want to go and what you want to achieve, it’s going to be so much easier for you to keep your focus there and to align your words and your language with achieving all of that. Okay. Now, everything we’ve talked about throughout this episode has been, and I apologize, that is my dog’s background.
He walked in during the podcast and yep, the other one’s barking. That is life. I apologize. Now notice also that with all of the suggestions, Everything that I’ve been putting forward is about keeping the flow of energy moving. At no point do we want to stop things. You don’t want to cease to exist. and like prevent and block anything flowing to you.
Okay, move in the direction that you want to go. Pay attention to aligning everything in that direction and pay attention to your words. Because so often I find that, yep, we’ll set goals, we’ll do the task to achieve them, we’ll move through the motions, but our language can often like hinder us and set us back a little bit.
Okay. Now, if you focus on your growth and your actions and your habits and you align everything and you align your language with that, you will find that it’s going to catapult your growth and it’s going to catapult your magnetism and it’s going to really drastically bring in more things to you. All right.
Now, that’s it from me today. I’m going to encourage you to pick one thing. So don’t go out and suddenly change like 10 language patterns all in one, in one go. Like start with one, pick the one that you tell yourself the most. Let’s start with that. Let’s commit to changing that one thing. Do it for the next 30 days.
If I’m tired is like your go to it’s like, okay, how can I prioritize rest? What can I let go of to prioritize my rest? What can I implement? How can I receive? How can I take something off my plate so that I can prioritize my rest so that I’m feeling great and therefore can achieve my goals? Okay. One thing at a time, because if you are genuinely tired and you are fatigued and you are teetering on that verge of burnout and you try to take on all of this, I mean, what got you here to begin with?
Right. Probably taking on too many things. So pick one thing, work on that, master that habit, master that, pay attention to the language that you’re using with your clients, be very mindful about where you want them to go, the actions you want them to take, and make sure that you’re being honorable to the things that you’re saying so that you yourself are following through on everything as well.
So let me know how you’ve gone with all of this. I’m absolutely keen to hear. Definitely reach out on my socials and let me know what it is that you’ve committed to changing. I’m going to support you with that and until next time, make it a great day.
